There is nothing better than giving or receiving an unique gift that was made with your child's own hands. The following clay workshops are being held during the month of April. Workshops are "drop off" and are open to children ages 4-10. Your child will learn clay terminology and various techniques with hand building. More importantly, your child will have fun creating something that "they" made with their own two hands!
Modern Ceramic "Flower" Tumbler
April 17th 11 am – 12:30 pm (create tumbler)
April 24th 11 am - 12 pm (paint tumbler)
Cost $45
Each child will create a "modern" ceramic tumbler using white earthenware clay and learning different techniques of adding texture and pattern. No two tumblers will look alike...thank goodness! Stamped words will also be incorporated onto each tumbler. A follow up class to glaze the fired piece is next. Finished pieces will be dropped off at Rockabye, a children's store located in Reno. Note that the colors will vary from the ones shown in the above photos and will be mostly white with black stamped words and stitching, and with pink petals.
