Fathers always seemed to get gypped on Father's Day...schools out and the odds of a handmade gift from their child that lasts a lifetime is slim...us Mothers have a lot on our plates!  Also, they are so much harder to buy for than a Mom. 

The solution?...a handmade gift from a local artist that incorporates your child's words about their Father and place to attach a photo of your child(ren).  Plaques are approx. 5 1/2" x 9 1/4".  The price of a plaque is $40 and takes 2 weeks to turn around.  Available colors are black, dark blue, and denim blue.  To have a plaque made, simply place your order on-line and include your child's words, which are either dictated by you or your child.  Remember misspellings are priceless and should be included!  Have your child finish this sentence with at least 8 things...."I love it when my Dad...".  For example... "I love it when my Dad...says i love you, reads a book to me, takes me on a bike ride, looks at the stars with me, listens to me, and makes me breakfast.  Sarah".  

The next step involves me stamping their words on the plaque, adding a photo hole and a border, and then allowing it to dry.  I then fire the plaque in my kiln, paint it and then fire it again.  The finished plaque is topped off with a wire and dropped off at Rockaybe, a local children's store, for pick up.
