What’s more precious than capturing your little one’s hands and feet in clay! MB Art Studios is one of the few places in Reno that offers unique hand and foot impressions in clay. Ceramic impressions are treasured keepsakes and make great gifts for holidays, birthdays, and baby showers. Impressions are done at a private, home studio located in central Reno and then are picked up at Rockabye, a children's store. Appointments are available Monday - Sunday from 10 am - 3 pm. The studio address will be provided once your on-line order has been placed. Note that your order may be changed or cancelled prior to your appointment at any time. Also, note the length of your appointment will depend on how many and what items you order, plus the age of the child(ren). The clay is rolled out prior to the appointment, so the process of taking an impression and discussing the design is approx. 15 minutes for each item ordered.
We also offer traveling workshops for playgroups. If you are interested in hosting a playgroup workshop, contact Mary to discuss the details. Gift Certificates are also available on the "shop & info" page.
To place your order, browse through the items below and simply add them to your cart. Detailed information about each item is noted in the description. Near the end of completing your order, please note the following under the comments section: desired appt. date and time, your child(ren)'s name and age(s). Note that we accept cash, checks, and payments through Paypal. Check payments should be made payable to “Mary Burrows” and provided at the time of the appointment. After completing your order, you will then receive an e-mail confirming your appointment and will also be provided with my home studio address.
At the time of the appointment, you will be able to view samples of glazes. After your appointment, your ceramic prints will be allowed to dry, fired in a kiln, glazed, refired, and then dropped off at Rockabye, a children's store located in Reno, within six weeks. Prints can be mailed for an additional charge upon request.

Uniqueness of prints...Please note that each ceramic hand and foot print is unique. On occasion, defects occur due to misfirings, glaze impurities or material contaminants. If this happens, I will be happy to redo your order at no additional cost. Also, since each print is hand made, and therefore, hand painted, your prints may have lighter or darker paint as well as thicker or thinner glaze than the samples that you see at the Store and/or Online. I cannot guarantee that your prints will have the exact shade or uniformity of the paint nor the same glaze thickness that you see at the Store and/or Online. I, also, cannot guarantee that you will see all of the lines and/or wrinkles in the hands or feet. Due to the process of making ceramic art, some of the major lines may be lost or covered with the paint and glaze. This is considered a unique part of your prints being a hand made piece of ceramic art and will not be subject to refund or reprinting.
